Course Description

The Basic Kayaking Course is aimed at all beginners who want to learn kayaking with the right basics. The course is spread over four hours. The hours can be divided into two or three lessons according to the needs and the athletic condition of the student.

During the kayaking course for beginners we will learn the basic theoretical notions, and we will also focus on the initial paddling technique on which we will invest time to dissect it, trying to understand the various movements that make it up and optimise it to make it as effective as possible. We will look at the correct posture in the canoe and the management of feet and thrust, as well as the fundamental turns to effectively manage the course.

In the basic kayaking course, we will look at everything related to safety in and out of the water and how to organise trips while assessing possible risks.

Kayaking course content for beginners

The course consists of three hours of lessons and one of practice in which the student will carry out exercises alone in a protected area near the school. The course is divided into three training modules which can however be divided into two days to optimize your time.

Module # 1

History of kayaking.
Paddling equipment and theory.
Safety in and out of the water.
Position in the kayak and route management.

Module # 2

Paddling and tacking optimization.
Correction of errors
Balance exercises and techniques for not capsizing the kayak.

Module # 3

Alternative tacking technique.
Practice in tacking and handling the boat in adverse weather conditions.

Kayaking lessons for beginners on Lake Garda are available at the following locations:

San Felice del Benaco (Bs), Via del Porto.
Manerba del Garda, Romantica Beach.

Basic kayaking course prices

Lessons include a maximum of three students per instructor to ensure maximum attention to the student.
We organise our schedule trying to guarantee an instructor for each student or two, in case this is not possible you will be notified and we will propose alternative times. If you are a family or a group it will be possible to organize a group lesson at discounted prices.

Kayak, paddle and life jacket included in the price.
Maximum 3 people per instructor.

*It is necessary to have an insurance to take part in the excursions.
The cost of the card is € 5, it includes insurance and lasts until the end of the calendar year.
